KINDERGARTEN–GRADE 5

Recognizing the individuality of each student, we are committed to creating an adaptable and inclusive learning environment—one that moves beyond standardization to truly support every learner’s growth.

At Master Universal School, we embrace the philosophy of multiple intelligences, recognizing that intelligence takes many forms. Whether a student excels in logic and reasoning, learns best through visual exploration, or expresses themselves through music and movement, our curriculum is thoughtfully designed to support diverse learning styles. By honoring these differences, we foster a sense of belonging and ensure that every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to succeed.

ELEMENTARY ACADEMICS

our Master Universal Elementary program focuses on building a strong foundation of knowledge and skills that supports children as they grow. We begin with exciting themes that spark curiosity—like creation stories from around the world, patterns in nature, and how people and communities work. These topics form the base for what children will learn in later grades. Some of the themes our students explore include the evolution of life on Earth, how societies are built, and the first human settlements.

As part of this rich learning journey, our students dive into subjects like science, math, world languages, literature, and the arts. They build strong skills in each area and learn how to think in different ways to solve problems. We help them understand the world from many points of view and use a variety of strategies to learn and grow.

Reading and Writing

Reading and writing workshops start with our youngest students and help them build strong skills step by step. At Master Universal School, we give children the right tools, guidance, and support to understand stories and information, think creatively, and share their ideas. They learn to find their own voice and express themselves clearly through both speaking and writing.

Balanced Mathematics

Our approach to math helps children build both understanding and confidence. Students learn how to solve problems, explain their thinking, use math vocabulary, and take part in hands-on projects. At Master Universal School, we also include proven methods from around the world—like the Japanese soroban (a type of abacus)—to make learning math more engaging. Starting in kindergarten, students take part in fun and meaningful activities that help them understand math concepts and strengthen basic skills step by step.

Contemplative Practices

Every day, students spend time practicing mindfulness to help them feel calm, focused, and balanced. At Master Universal School, mindfulness is more than just a daily routine—it’s one of our core values and an important part of our wellness program. Even our youngest learners are gently introduced to breathing exercises, meditation, and other simple techniques that support both their mental and physical well-being. These healthy habits help children stay centered and confident, both in school and in life.

Specials Program

Along with their regular subjects, students also enjoy special classes that help them explore new interests and talents. At Master Universal School, children learn from expert teachers in areas like performing arts, science, visual arts, music, library, Mandarin, wellness, life skills, and technology. These special classes are closely connected to what students learn in their main lessons, making learning more exciting, creative, and meaningful.

Buddy Program

Our Buddy Program brings younger and older students together for fun and meaningful activities like reading, classroom visits, group projects, and community service. At Master Universal School, this program helps younger children feel supported and confident as they build friendships with older buddies. It also gives older students a chance to grow as leaders and role models, learning responsibility while helping others. This special connection makes our school community stronger and more caring.
